Finance Officer (Full Time)
The job responsibilities are to provide a range of accounting support services for the company as necessary. The service to include assisting in the preparation of budgets, management accounting and cash-flow forecasts. Bank reconciliation for both UK and foreign payments to include company credit cards and payments. Administering supplier payments and processing of invoices, compiling, completing and submitting the company’s VAT return. Credit control, chasing customer payments and reconciling payments received. Manage and process the company payroll & pension scheme using Sage 50, verifying timesheets and overtime payments, NIC and PAYE. Manage and process the company travel & expenses system. Day to day management of all the company’s financial systems including project costings.
Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters supporting the Finance Manager.
Applicant must have extensive SAGE 50 experience, excellent attention to detail and be accurate with written and numerical work together with previous experience managing or processing company payroll and financial systems. Applicant must hold accounting based qualification, be PC literate with experience of Word, Excel and databases desirable.
They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to plan, organise and prioritise own workload effectively and efficiently. They must also exhibit good time management skills, have a strong delivery performance working both individually and as part of a team using initiative and make decisions as necessary.
