Proeon are extremely proud and pleased to announce the huge achievement of one of our Engineers: Jake Bridges.

Jake has worked tirelessly over the last 6 years progressing his studies from Level 3 to Level 6.  The culmination of his hard work has seen Jake achieve his Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Electrical Engineering.

Jake updated Proeon on his final year results which have recently been ratified for his BEng, by achieving first class in all modules studied, this has resulted in his achievement of a Class 1 (first class) overall.  His most recent comment, on passing on his amazing results, to our Management Team who have supported him during his journey:

“I would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout this journey, totalling 6 years of study from Level 3 to Level 6 – it certainly feels like an end of an era… Time to put my feet up I think (…not)”

Whilst diligently undertaking his studies, Jake has continued to produce achievements at a very high level.  Winning First Prize in the Annual University of Suffolk competition in 2018, with one of his student colleagues Dominic Wightley.  They were given 12 weeks and a budget of £100 to design, construct and test a scale model of a hydro-electric power generator for their client HydroGen Ltd.  During the final stages of the competition, they pitched their ideas to the panel of East Coast College Higher Education tutors, who were particularly impressed by them.

The Judges were particularly impressed by the challenge that enabled Jake and his colleague to test their skills and expertise as part of the “Skills in Research Problem Solving Module”

Jake has also continued to impress with the dedication and professionalism he has shown towards his studies and his work here with Proeon.  He has proven himself to be a valued member of our engineering team.  Proeon look forward to watching him continue to grow throughout his engineering journey.
